January: Annual Gun Club Bacon & Crab Shooting Event
Come out to share your skills and enjoy a great meal!

April: LaCrosse Spring Faire
Car Show, Artisans & Crafts, Antiques Appraisal - Quilt Show - Jumpy House - and much, much more!

June: LaCrosse Farmers Festival
Held in mid-June. Parades, food and old-fashioned fun. Live entertainment at the park gazebo, a barbecue, vendors, kids games, and free swimming at the town pool make for an exciting day.

September: Palouse Empire Fair & Rodeo (near Colfax)
The first week of September is the big Palouse Empire Fair near Colfax with exhibits, food, rides, 4H, FFA livestock competition, commercial booths and entertainmant.

October: LaCrosse Halloween Party
Sponsored by the fire department, masks, costumes, games & fun abound!

Parks, Camping & Water Sports

Picnic, camp, hike, water ski. In town, stay at the RV park and enjoy the local parks and swimming pool.

Boyer Park and Marina
For Information and Reservations regarding Boyer Park and Marina, please call (509) 397-3208. A brief drive from LaCrosse, you will find Boyer Park and Marina, which is a 56 acre full service marina and campground on the scenic Snake River.

Central Ferry State Park
Only a short drive away, camp, boat, water ski, or fish at Central Ferry.

LaCrosse Town Park
A lovely treed community park, complete with gazebo, barbecues & children's playground equipment.

LaCrosse Town Swimming Pool
Beat the heat and join us for a dip in our well-maintained city pool throughout the hot summer months.

Camping, Day-Use, and Boating. 9 miles northeast of Starbuck, Washington, on Little Goose Dam Road, and 1 mile east of Little Goose Dam.

Palouse Falls State Park
With a beautiful 198 foot waterfall, this 105-acre camping park has a unique geology and history.

Whitman Mission National Historic Site
In 1836, five Protestant missionaries crossed the continent to establish a mission the area known as the "Oregon Country." In 1847, the Whitman "'Massacre' horrified Americans and impacted the lives of the peoples of the Columbia Plateau for decades afterwards." This is a highly visited site by schools and groups, and it is best to make plans ahead of time. Willow Landing
Day-Use, Boating, and Camping. 1 mile south of Central Ferry State Park on Highway 127, 4 miles east on Deadman Road, and 5 miles north on Hasting Hill Road.

Fishing & Hunting

Abundant deer and pheasant populations provide ample challenges for hunters. A sportsman's paradise, the area provides plenty of year-round recreational oportunities. Pampa Pond and the Snake River are prime locations for trout, steelhead and bass fishing. LaCrosse has its own local gun range.

Rainbow trout yearling plants offer bank-fishing only in this 3-acre pond 4 miles west of LaCrosse.

Pheasant Valley Shooting Preserve
Pheasant Valley features over 4,000 acres of prime hunting habitat with plenty of heavy cover and open pasture. We are surrounded by thousands of acres of pasture and scabland that is accessible from the ranch. The preserve is located on over 3 miles of the Palouse River, in western Whitman County, about an hour and a half south of Spokane, Washington.    This is a good shot of friends, birds, bird dogs and the great outdoors. We start in September and end in May    We hunt pheasants, chukar, and Hungarian partridge from September through May on the hunting preserve. We also offer duck and goose hunting during regular waterfowl seasons. For big game hunters, we offer hunts for mule deer or whitetail during the regular state season.(Washington State license, stamps, and tags required for waterfowl and deer)

Snake River Ride & Bed
Shann Webley and Family are opening up their 10,000 acre ranch to recreational trail riders. Whether you want to take on a 6 hour endurance ride or enjoy a half hour excursion, Snake River Ride and Bed can accommodate you. With beautiful rolling terrain checked with canyons and ravines, this breathtaking country will bring out the cowboy in anyone. Mild spring and fall climates allow riders to get out and enjoy the great outdoors! The ranch house is open for use by recreational trail riders, complete with barn or corrals for your horse. The Buggy Lady
Driving Training for Ponies and Minis! Clinics and lessons for beginners to intermediates. In addition to her local facilities, Milaine Rosslow travels the Northwest instructing driving clinics.
